Let’s face it. Internet marketing is confusing. As if designing your website to rank well and getting other websites linked to it wasn’t enough, now you have to factor Web 2.0 and all that entails into your internet marketing plan. You’ve got blogging, social networking, podcasting and videos. You could spend all your time marketing your business instead of actually running your business!

I’ll be honest with you, it even drives me nuts and I’m an internet marketing consultant! But, I was explaining internet marketing to a new client the other day and it all became quite clear. Here’s what it boils down to.

The goal of internet marketing is ultimately to get people to buy you have to sell. Whether that’s a physical product, an information product or a service, it doesn’t matter.

There are two major areas that you to focus your attention to increase internet sales; drive more traffic to your website and convert that traffic to customers by giving them what they want.

This sounds pretty basic but once you get caught up in all the ways you can market your business online, you can easily lose sight of your goal. We tend to focus on statistics like: how high my website ranks when using certain key words, or how many individual visitors were there last month, or the number of people that signed up for my newsletter or blog feed. But you know what? None of those things are the main goal. They might contribute to your bottom line but they are NOT your goal.

Would you believe there are only two things you need to do to make online sales? First get people to your website. Second, give your visitors what they want. That’s it! So how do you do those two things?

The way you drive traffic to your website can be done in two ways.

1. You have an individual who needs what you have to sell, so basically they need you before you need them. They have a problem which they recognize and they’re seeking a solution which you have to offer. They go to a search engine like Google or Yahoo, type in a key phrase and as a result they find your website. This is the way we tend to assume all our customers find us.

2. Your customer may be aware that they have a potential problem but aren’t really looking for a solution. They hear about your company in an article, blog, forum, podcast, video, social media or social networking website and just because they are very interested in what they hear about you, they take a visit to your website.

When people arrive at your website it’s time to make certain you can give them what they want. It’s a lot of work to get customers to your website and you want to make certain that you’re fully capable of giving them what they are looking for. If you don’t give them what they want, you’ve wasted a tremendous amount of time and money. That’s why a customer centric website is crucial to converting visitors to customers. It’s also the area that is most often overlooked and can cost you a lot of sales in the long run.

I’m not going to tell you what I think your website should say because I could write the most brilliant analysis of what needs to be on your website and the majority of you are going to tell yourself, “My website says that.” If your website isn’t getting the phone ringing or making sales, it doesn’t. It’s that simple.

Do you really want to know why all those visitors aren’t regular customers? Have a friend (who doesn’t owe you anything and will tell you the truth) look over your website. Then shut your mouth, stop fooling yourself into believing it’s the best it can be and change it!

That’s it. That’s all. The two things you need to know to do to sell your service online are to get people to your website and give them what they want. Now go do it!

Have you ever wandered just what is up with these JV Giveaway events? This informative report can give you some insight into the benefits you can obtain from one of these Giveaway events.
What is a Joint Venture – it’s a business endeavor that combines two or more companies or people together. A joint venture means that the parties involved join forces to create a new product, service, or website, etc.
Now combine that with a Giveaway and you have two or more parties combining forces to give away products. For more details www.scroll-pops.com Thus we have a Joint Venture Giveaway. This article is concerned with Affiliate Marketing JV Giveaway events and what that can mean to you.
The Truth About JV Giveaways: There are two reasons for holding these events.
First and Foremost – So that the Contributors to these events can build there mailing list.
(In order to receive the Free download you must sign up to their mailing list, which is a small thing when you consider what you get in return. Then, once you have confirmed your subscription you receive the download link). There is no spam involved, you have given permission to be put on the mailing list and you can unsubscribe at any time. It’s totally ethical!
Second and Important – is that it provides New and existing Affiliate Marketers an opportunity to obtain some valuable Tools for their Internet endeavors at no cost.
What kind of gifts are being given away at these events? They are primarily Affiliate Marketing Tools as list here:

* Software
* eBooks
* Training Tutorials
* Training Videos
* Free Memberships
* Rebrandable Products

Many of these products come with Private Label Rights or Master Resell Rights. This means that you can rebrand the product with your links and resell the product or give it away as an incentive to your customers. Be sure to read the PLR or MRR license that comes with the product to see what privileges you have. This is a great way to build your arsenal of Affiliate Tools to improve your current online business or to start an online business.
Two Ways To Contribute To A JV Giveaway Event:
1. You sign up as a Free Member – Generally you get to submit one gift to the event and it will be displayed as long as you are drawing member sign ups through your promotions of the Giveaway event. They keep track of your sign ups through your affiliate ID link, so if your not drawing in new members then your gift will not be displayed.
2. You sign up as a Paid or Upgrade Member – This is the best way to go if you want to build your mailing list. I have found that the average sign up fee can be as low as $7.00 and as much as $27.00 at initial sign up. For more details www.myspace-marketing-secret.com If you don’t take advantage of the initial One Time Offer, then it will cost you more to upgrade later. I’ve noticed that the average cost at initial sign up is $17.00. Personally I have made this my upper limit.
Your Privileges as an Upgraded Member:

* You get to submit at least three gifts, sometimes it’s unlimited
* You are assigned 50 credit points at the beginning, which means that your gifts will be displayed throughout the event time frame.
* You get to submit a One Time Offer on a product of your choice that will be displayed on a rotating basis on the frontpage after someone logs in.
* You will be in the pool to possibly win cash prizes if your in one of the top positions on the promotional leader board.
* You get instant access to Downloads without going through signups.
To submit a gift to one of these Giveaway events you must:
* Have a product of your own, or a product that you have PLR or MRR rights to giveaway.
* Upload the product file to your website server.
* Make up a Product Download Page or Thank You Page with a download link.
* Make up a Sales Page or Squeeze Page with the description and benefits of your product and why they should download it. Be sure to put your Submit Form from your Autoresponder on this page.
Now signup for a JV Giveaway event, (preferably as an Upgraded member) and submit all of the requirements to get your gift displayed. In conclusion, this is one of the most cost effective ways to build a safe mailing list and at the same time you are building a good relationship with your subscribers as you are giving a valuable product absolutely Free! If you cannot afford to sign up as a upgraded member to the event, then sign up as a Free member and promote the event aggressively so that your gift will be displayed.
